This is a checklist, not a form

There is no form on this website and no upload control. Nothing here submits anything anywhere — our content security policy blocks form submission outright, which you can check on our security page. Use this to prepare, then write to us.

Not every item applies to every matter, and a gap is not a reason to wait indefinitely. It is a reason to tell us what is missing when you write.

01. Who you are

  • The name that would appear on a filing — a person or a legal entity.
  • Whether you are the copyright owner, an exclusive licensee, or someone authorized to act for one of them.
  • A working email address. Everything begins and continues by email.
  • The country you are in, because which process applies can depend on it.

02. What authorizes you to act

  • If you own the work: nothing further at this stage.
  • If you act for someone else: the owner’s legal name, and written authorization covering these works and this action.
  • The scope of that authorization — which works, which rights, and whether it covers submitting removal requests specifically.
  • Whether the authorization has an end date.

03. The original work

  • The title, and what kind of work it is.
  • The URL where it was first published, and the publication date the platform shows.
  • What shows the work is yours — source files, project archives, the account that first published it.
  • A registration number, only if one exists. Registration is not required for the platform processes we work on.

04. What you are reporting

  • The direct address of the specific item, in the format the platform uses for that content type — a watch page for a video, a post link for a post, the channel address where the material is the channel’s own banner or description.
  • One address per item, recorded separately. Naming an entire channel, a profile or a search result does not identify the material, and a request cannot ask for a whole account to be removed in place of it.
  • Whether the whole work was used or only part of it.
  • For partial use: the start and end points in the copy, and the matching points in your original.

05. Context we will ask about anyway

  • Any licence, permission, or prior agreement that might cover the use — including one you granted and forgot.
  • Whether the material sits inside commentary, criticism, review, parody, or teaching.
  • Whether this is really about copying, or about criticism, competition, or a commercial disagreement.
  • Whether anyone else has a claim to the same work — a co-author, a client, a label, a former partner.

What not to send

A review starts with less than people expect. These are the things to hold back until we ask for something specific.

Government ID or passport scans
Do not email these. There is no secure upload channel on this website, and we do not need identity documents to begin a review.
Passwords or account credentials
Never send these to us or to anyone else. Nothing in a copyright matter requires access to your accounts.
Payment card details
Not by email, and not at this stage.
Large media files
Describe what you hold and where it is. We will tell you what is actually needed before you send anything bulky.
Everything at once
A first message describing the matter and what you can evidence is more useful than an attachment folder. Completeness is required eventually; volume is never required.

Email is not encrypted end to end. Send what a matter requires and no more; if something is sensitive, say so and ask before sending it.

What happens to it

Your material goes into a review, not into a queue for automatic submission. A person at Takedown Bureau checks the authority, reads the evidence, weighs whether a copyright exception plausibly applies, and decides whether to proceed — including deciding not to.

Writing to us does not mean we have accepted a matter, and an accepted matter is not a filing.

Where to send it

Copyright matters — new or open — go to copyright@takedownbureau.com. General questions about the service or pricing go to hello@takedownbureau.com.

If you are checking whether a message that claims to be from us is genuine, that is a different mailbox and a different page: verify our filing identity →

Have a copyright concern to discuss?

Start with the original work, the URLs involved and what shows the rights are yours. A short first message describing the matter is more useful than an attachment folder.

Not sure it qualifies? Say so — declining early is part of the standard.
