Website terms
The terms for using this website — and where the terms of a client engagement are set out.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of takedownbureau.com. Services we provide to clients are additionally governed by the applicable written engagement agreement, which may address scope, fees, payment, cancellation, refunds and other commercial terms.
Service description
Takedown Bureau LLC is a private U.S. company providing YouTube copyright removal assistance to creators, video producers and other copyright owners. A person on our team reviews the evidence and written authorization for each matter before we submit a copyright removal request as the owner’s authorized representative, and every matter is tracked under an internal case number.
Client engagements
When we take on a matter, the engagement is documented in a written engagement agreement. That agreement — not this website — sets out the scope of work and the commercial terms for that engagement, and those terms can differ between engagements.
Contacting Takedown Bureau does not mean that we have accepted a matter.
Authorization requirement
We act only as an authorized representative of a copyright owner. Written authorization must be in place, and its scope must cover the relevant works, before we submit any request on your behalf. You are responsible for the accuracy of the ownership evidence and authorization you provide.
No guarantee of outcome
YouTube, like any platform, decides the outcome of every request under its own processes. We do not guarantee that any request will result in removal or a copyright strike, that removal will be permanent, or that material will not be restored through a counter notification. We may decline a matter under the Bureau Standard.
Not legal advice
Takedown Bureau LLC is a private U.S. company and not a law firm. Nothing we provide is legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created. Copyright owners who want legal advice should consult their own counsel.
Using this website
The guides and other content on this website are general information about copyright processes, not advice about any particular situation. Platform procedures change, so check the primary sources each guide cites before relying on it.
Links to other websites, such as YouTube Help or official statute text, are provided for reference. Those websites are run by others under their own terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we publish the new version here and update the date below.
